My work has moved through a variety of materials and processes - stone, metal, paint, bronze casting.
Whatever the medium, I have always been drawn to texture, irregularity and the marks left by the making process. There is often a sense of age in the work - objects and surfaces that feel weathered, excavated, ancient.
Antiquity, erosion and the character of materials are recurring influences.

SCULPTURE RESTORATION
For over 20 years my restoration work has involved a wide range of objects, materials and surfaces, with particular attention to sculpture and antiquities.
The approach is always one of restraint - understanding the material, respecting the history of the object and preserving the character it has acquired through time.
Much of this work is undertaken privately and involves objects of a sensitive or confidential nature. My clients include museums, art dealers, auction houses and private collectors.
